1. Who we are

Nafsychology™ is an independent educational project developing a psycho-spiritual structured synthesis at the confluence of psychological typology and Islamic psychology. The work begins by clarifying Jungian typology and post-Jungian developments within ethical and theological guardrails, and develops toward a broader synthesis of the field across two volumes.

This website provides high-level orientation and selected public notes. Detailed diagrams, complete structural mappings, and proprietary frameworks remain book-only until publication.

Some editorial revisions may be assisted by language tools; all judgments, claims, and responsibility remain with Nafsychology.

2. Educational scope only

Nafsychology is educational. It is not:

  • Psychotherapy, counseling, psychiatric care, or medical care

  • A diagnostic tool, psychometric instrument, or personality test

  • Crisis support, emergency services, or suicide prevention support

  • Fatwā, creed instruction, or a substitute for qualified Islamic scholarship

Nothing on this site (including posts, downloads, emails, or public talks) establishes a clinician–patient relationship, a scholar–student relationship, or any other professional service relationship.

If urgent help is needed, contact local emergency services or qualified professionals. This project cannot provide crisis support or individualized clinical or religious rulings.

3. Non-equivalence and theological limits

Nafsychology brings together psychology and Islamic teachings on the Nafs in a disciplined conversation. Psychological typology is treated as a fallible human inquiry, useful within limits. Islamic revelation remains the higher authority for value, accountability, and refinement for mankind (Muslims and non-Muslims).

Typological constructs are not presented as revealed categories. Any similarity between psychological language and Islamic teachings should be read as resonance or analogy, not ontological identity.

4. No tests, no typing, no scores

Nafsychology does not offer quizzes, scoring systems, automated typing, psychometric assessments, or function-rank calculators. The project resists test-culture harms such as false certainty, identity fixation, and using labels as excuses for conduct.

Where formal instruments belong in clinical or research settings, they require qualified use and narrow claims. That is not the lane this project occupies.

5. No guarantees or outcomes

Nafsychology provides language, conceptual frameworks, and reflective prompts. It makes no guarantees about spiritual, psychological, relational, educational, or professional outcomes.

Examples are illustrative, not prescriptive. Application and interpretation remain the responsibility of the visitor.

This includes proprietary organizing frameworks and unreleased materials (including, where relevant, the Functions Spectrum Model (FSM) and its role-based architecture, including the conscious and unconscious interactions).
